The SGB has been administered since 1917 to treat various forms of chronic pain in the neck, head, and arms, as well as menopausal symptoms in women like hot flashes.
In 2008 Dr. Eugene Lipov, founder of the Stella Center, modified the procedure in an attempt to moderate the effects of trauma-related mental injuries.
Since his discovery, the U.S. Army has invested millions of dollars into SGB for trauma-related injury research. Dr. Lipov is proud to have been a catalyst in bringing this important therapy to market.
